A rare-earth magnet holds it. Your slide seats between the rails and stops against the tabs. Push forward to draw and those tabs rack the slide for you, so it chambers on the way out. One motion, no straps, no thumb break. Soft foam face so it never marks your finish. Fits full size, compact and subcompact.

Nearly all of them. The magnet grabs any ferrous surface — slide, frame or barrel — so there is no model-specific moulding, no fit chart and no size matrix.
How does it mount?
Screw hardware comes in the box. Drill it into a dash, console, seat frame, desk or wall. The body is low profile enough to tuck under a dash lip.
Is this secure storage?
No. It holds your firearm in place, it does not lock it away. It is not child-resistant. If you need secure storage, use a lockbox or a safe.
Will it hold through rough road?
That is what it is built for. The rare-earth array holds a loaded handgun through braking and washboard backroads.
